Day 109: The Sky In Beaverton

I’m walking in Beaverton, which is something unusual to begin with and then I look up.  I realize that the sky is filled with beautiful clouds.  My Nikon is down in Disneyland, vacationing with my daughter so I turn to my trusty cellphone camera.  I snapped a few shots of the awesome clouds and then I enter Winco and buy some take and bake pizzas and some beer and then I walk home.  The moral of the story, keep your head held high or you’ll miss great things in life.  Scooby Dooooooo!!!!!

Day 108: Fading Out

I’m done. I need to take a shower and then crash.

MSI Wind U100 Netbook – A Personal Review

MSI Wind U100 Netbook

On May 15, 2009 I walked into my local Best Buy store and purchased a MSI Wind U100 netbook. This was still early on in the netbook craze but I had done a lot of research online and although MSI is not a well known computer maker like Dell, HP and Sony I knew the MSI Wind would be the best of the bunch. Granted, just about every netbook on the market has the same specs:

An Intel® Atom™ 1.6GHz processor, 10 inch screen at 1024 x 600 resolution, 1GB of RAM and a 160-250GB hard drive

One thing that I liked about the MSI Wind U100 was the fact that the processor comes overclocked right out of the box.  Once you enable the overclocking from the BIOS screen then all you need to do is toggle it on and off with a simple keyboard shortcut.

A netbook is basically a small laptop that is designed to be ultra-portable. It is very lightweight and allows you to check email, surf the web and stream music and movies. They are not as powerful as most current laptops so they don’t work too well for gaming or video editing but so far the MSI Wind U100 has been able to handle every task I have given it. I check email, update my blog and watch movies from my Netflix account. If you are looking for a small, easy to take along computer then a netbook is the way to go.  I have owned my MSI Wind U100 for almost a year now and it has been trouble free and I have even upgraded the RAM to 2GB.  I’m not here to sell you on the idea of getting a netbook, I am simply giving you a first hand review of what I consider to be an awesome little computer.

Day 107: T-Mobile myTouch 3G – White

You have a T-Mobile myTouch 3G cellphone in white.  This is a popular Android cellphone and many T-Mobile customers will want one.  So if you are selling a T-Mobile myTouch 3G with a white case and you want to target Android users then what do you do?  Do you plan to offer an image of an actual T-Mobile myTouch 3G or will you simply describe the cellphone?  And what about price?  Have you compared the current retail price for a T-Mobile myTouch 3G on other sites to make sure that your price is competitive?  Are you hoping that this item will find its way to Yahoo Shopping and Google Product Search?  In addition to describing the technical specifications of a T-Mobile myTouch 3G, such as the Android operating system will you be offering any accessories such as a case and charger?

These are just a few things to keep in mind when getting ready to post any item on your online store.  Competition is fierce.  Not only do you compete against other websites but you have to consider the fact that people can also find a T-Mobile myTouch 3G in a T-Mobile store or mall kiosk.  Do your research.  Let your competition guide you and before long you will become a master at selling the T-Mobile myTouch 3G or any other item.
