Turkey Is The Bird, The Bird Is The Word

I’m working on Thanksgiving and even though I will be unable to spend time with my family, enjoying a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner, I will still be thankful for the fact that because I am working on Thanksgiving my employer is paying me well.  Not only do I get paid for the eight hours that I work, I get an additional eight hours of pay for the holiday and then on Friday I get paid for the day after Thanksgiving, plus I am off on Friday.

How can you not be thankful for getting all that money for just a day’s work?  Thank you.
