This is an exclusive photograph showing a young Mitt Romney (mormon) in France, circa 1966, when he was performing his sworn duties as a missionary for the Mormon Church. We believe that this particular photograph was taken in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It captures the innocence of youth and a time in young Mitt’s life before dreams of the White House entered his head.

There is some evidence that leads us to believe that this is not in fact a photograph of a young Mitt Romney but rather a fetching Moai sculpture that I cast this afternoon. In either case, it is a nice photo. Don’t you think?

Disclaimer:

The authenticity of this photo has not yet been verified through Mitt Romney or his staff and although it bears a striking similarity to Mitt we suggest that you exercise caution when deciding for yourself whether this is indeed a young Mitt Romney.

A current work in progress. Moai Wonder Woman. Obviously this is a continuation of my moai statue line as well as comic book super heroes and even though she is not quite complete I am liking the way Moai Wonder Woman is coming along. She may get finished up tomorrow but I have to change a flat tire on the car first. I’m also working on another version of Moai Guy Fawkes.

Tis the season to be inserting moai statues in various locations around Minneapolis and Portland. I have no desire to offend so please excuse me if I have. As always, it is my honest intent to provide a little free, public art to the community. Whenever you happen across one of my Moai statues feel free to take it. Or ignore it. Or even destroy it. One I place a moai statue out in public it is up to the finder to determine its fate. There are many more to come so keep an eye out.

Allow me to introduce the dashing first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Commander Moai Riker. Seen here with Moai Red Shirt and Moai Spock as they wrap up a survey expedition on an unknown planet (my coffee table). Commander Moai Riker looks quite fetching doesn’t he? I thank you for allowing me to share my moai statues with you.

The survival rate for Star Trek red shirts is not very impressive. Most of us would stand a better chance of surviving a jump into an active volcano but this particular red shirt is Moai. The Moai are hard as rock and can survive just about anything, including service as a Star Trek red shirt. Please enjoy the newest addition to my series of little moai sculptures. With a little luck, Moai Red Shirt will live to see his pension.
