http://ividdy.com Writer + Artist + Cyclist Wed, 08 Feb 2012 21:26:25 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 http://ividdy.com/index.php/day-7-a-post-a-day/ http://ividdy.com/index.php/day-7-a-post-a-day/#comments Sun, 20 Dec 2009 01:59:29 +0000 Mister Viddy http://ividdy.com/?p=976 In regards to the NBC television series Heroes.  Evil superhuman Sylar is cast as the scourge of humanity yet every time the good guys get the opportunity to permanently dispose of him they drop the ball.  Granted, he has some new found power due to having been cast as the “new” Spock in the rebooted Star Trek franchise but even before this happened there were so many opportunities in the first three seasons of Heroes in which Sylar could have been destroyed.  And now I find myself watching season 4 and can’t suspend my disbelief any further.  I understand that Sylar is a key character in the Heroes universe so why not just write the scripts in such a way that he is simply invincible and that way I do not have to cringe each time the good guys fail to stop him.
