Day 109: The Sky In Beaverton

March 31, 2010 by Mister Viddy

I’m walking in Beaverton, which is something unusual to begin with and then I look up.  I realize that the sky is filled with beautiful clouds.  My Nikon is down in Disneyland, vacationing with my daughter so I turn to my trusty cellphone camera.  I snapped a few shots of the awesome clouds and then I enter Winco and buy some take and bake pizzas and some beer and then I walk home.  The moral of the story, keep your head held high or you’ll miss great things in life.  Scooby Dooooooo!!!!!

Adventures In Suburban Cycling

Winco From Behind

And there I was. Deep in the heart of Beaverton. One of the most dirty and dangerous environments on the planet. I had nothing but my bike, my BlackBerry and my wits to help me survive. Wait, what?

Okay, in reality I had been sitting on my ass all day and my pets were out of food and I needed a snack so I rode my bike up to Winco. If you’ve ever been to Beaverton, Oregon then you know that there isn’t shit to see besides traffic and fat people so you’ll have to forgive me when the most stunning photograph of the day comes from the back end of Winco. Another thing that is pretty obvious is the fact that I’ll never be hired to write for the Beaverton Visitors Bureau unless they are looking for someone to tell the world that Beaverton is a place that is best left unvisited. Seriously folks, don’t go to Beaverton unless you like traffic and car lots and lots of asphalt. Save your money and book a trip to the nearest landfill, it will be a lot more fun and scenic.
