Here I am, pressing this post from my BlackBerry on a crowded MAX train heading into Hillsboro. The crowd is well mannered and everyone is doing a good job at avoiding eye contact. I’m only four stops away from my final destination so let me bid you a warm farewell.

Day 51: A Post A Day (Obligatory Photographs)

What you talking about fool? You know what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the obligatory photographs you see all over the web. From Facebook to Flickr you’ve seen pictures of the thumbs up and pets and all that other bullshit so now I’m stepping up and posting this random photograph I took with my BlackBerry Curve. It’s a photograph of clouds, yes, clouds! OMG! I know right? It was that or another picture of a toilet so I took the rated G route and went with clouds.

Don’t critique me too harshly as not much thought went into the composition. I was out at the smoking area at work, I looked up and took the photo. Easy as pie. So there you have it. One absolute work of fine art. Thank you, you’re too kind!

It is a good example of black & white photography. I want to thank my co-worker Dan for providing me with the most excellent composition that I’ve had to work with in a while. My only regret was that I had to use the camera on my BlackBerry Curve to capture this image rather than my Nikon. But you just can’t let an opportunity pass you by so I used the tools that I had at hand.

Day 18: A Post A Day (The Tail End of 2009)

As a famous man once said, “What’s in a name? That which we call a honey bucket by any other name would smell as sweet.” And they also say that a picture is worth a thousand words. So let us reflect back on 2009, both the good times and the bad, and enjoy this picture that I took this morning at Millikan Way while waiting on the MAX.

It is simply amazing how you can find little treasures where you least expect them. 2009 seemed to pass in the blink of an eye even though we suffered through the worst recession in decades. And now I am looking forward to a vibrant 2010 but am wise enough to forgo making any resolutions. I’ll just play it by ear.

Day 16: A Post A Day (Cleaning The Bathroom)

Rock and Roll!!!! It was time to get motivated and clean the bathroom today. Cleaning it the green way, courtesy of Clorox which doesn’t strike me as being a very green company but it says so right on the label.

Bathroom 1 is clean, now on to Bathroom 2. More coverage to follow.

Pressed From BlackBerry

So here it is. This is my first WordPress post from my BlackBerry Curve, using the WordPress for BlackBerry app. It is not quite as full-featured as creating a new post from the full WordPress dashboard but I am cruising right along on my BlackBerry’s keyboard.

The WordPress for BlackBerry app runs very nicely on the BlackBerry Curve and this post couldn’t have been any easier to write if I had done it on my desktop PC.

I’m giving the WordPress for BlackBerry app a thumbs up.

Test Driving The WordPress For BlackBerry App

I had been hearing about the WordPress for Blackberry app for a while now and this evening I finally got around to installing it on my BlackBerry Curve. As soon as I installed the WordPress for BlackBerry app I launched it and set up my WordPress blog in a matter of minutes. I was immediately impressed with this slick little application. The WordPress for BlackBerry app is clean and compact and runs quite snappy on my T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve. The interface is very intuitive and without having to read any tutorials I was able to open and view my existing pages and posts with no delay and editing posts was a breeze. I was going to create this post from my BlackBerry but the battery was in need of a charge but in the morning I am going to upload a quick post from my BlackBerry just to see if the finished product looks as good online as it does within the application itself. I have high hopes for the WordPress for Blackberry app and will let you know how it works in the days to come.
