I woke up this morning and peeked out the bedroom window and was greeted by a brisk, sunny landscape. Granted, the landscape included a view of the trailer park behind my apartment complex but still, it was gorgeous. The ride into work was chilly but enjoyable and it got me to reminiscing about my days back in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mornings on the high desert are just like this, chilly and sunny with clear skies as far as you can see.
Another random item is this. Portland keeps getting all this recognition as being a bike friendly city yet I find it to be one of the more hostile places to ride a bike. Albuquerque was downright hospitable and safe.
Dig it. I’m losing focus now but just remember, do not discount Albuquerque when it comes to bike friendly places in the United States. And for the record, I love Oregon.
I’ve been in a photographic funk for a while now but I have finally stumbled across the inspiration I needed to get me motivated and back to work doing photography. I am creating a new series of digital photographs that have been modified with software filters to give them the appearance of Polaroid photos. The gallery will include a mix of new images as well as some archived digital images and I would appreciate any feedback that you have. Again, these are not actual Polaroid images.
There it was, a defining moment in life when an individual looks within themselves and realizes, this is not it. Maybe you understand and maybe you don’t. This would not be the first time in my life that I was sitting at the crossroads, but unlike the great Robert Johnson, I have no intentions of making a deal with the Devil. Let us just say that I am once again looking forward to the next phase of my adventure called life.
