On this day in history, Sunday, December 27, I found myself sitting at my desk. To the left of me was my netbook and AVG was running a scheduled virus scan while Seesmic was keeping me notified of my Twitter activity. To the right of me was my coffee and diet soda just waiting to be consumed. It was still early in the day so I had no idea what might lay ahead of me. It has always been my policy to begin each day with a sunny disposition and optimistic outlook on life, except, that is a lie. I am actually pretty cynical. In four more minutes I would find myself on the clock so to speak, which means that my daily interaction with complete idiots was about to begin. Don’t get me wrong, I am a people person and my greatest joy in life is helping other people, except, that is a lie too. But if I am to keep on getting a steady paycheck then I must continue to fake it until that day comes when the proverbial straw will finally break my back.
Until that day comes, this has been another day in history. Tune in again for another thrilling story from the past.
Day 43: A Post A Day (Sunday Is The New Monday)
Day 43. Sunday. Rain.
Looking out over the bay, I can see several small boats being tossed about by the waves and the wind. This is not a good day to be out on the water. I’m playing it safe and will be sitting by the fireplace all day, sipping on hot coffee and listening to music. If the mood strikes me, I may wander along the beach later today and see what the ocean has washed up on the shore.
Wait a minute, I don’t live on the coast anymore. I’m actually going to be working all day. Silly me. Welcome to the beginning of another week.
