Summer Travel Plans

This summer don’t forget to visit The Uncanny Valley, where things aren’t quite right.

MSI Wind U100 Netbook – Still Alive

It was May of 2009 and I had a decision to make.  Laptop or netbook.  I saw the benefits that both devices offered and made a choice.  I purchased a MSI Wind U100 Netbook because I wanted something ultra-portable that would also allow me to stream movies and due some basic web design and photo editing.  It has been almost two years and the U100 is still going strong.  I’ve hauled this sucker up and down and across the country and it has never failed to support my needs.  It has been used as both my primary computer and backup and even now it is being used daily for research and Netflix.  I must say, this has ended up being one of my wisest purchases in a long while.

Tech Saturday

The old desktop PC finally crapped out so this morning I hit the local computer store and picked up a barebones box and built myself a new machine.  It is not a performance PC but it will definitely handle my Photoshop projects.

I know I should list the specs but I’m retired from the tech world so I’ll just say that it meets my needs.
