After two and a half days and 1800 miles I have finally arrived in Minneapolis. The journey was long and grueling and I am too tired to go into details. More to follow.

OMFG, we left Oregon yesterday morning and drove non-stop all the way into Butte, Montana on Day 1. Today was Day 2 and we drove from Butte, Montana all the across the state and have now stopped in Bismarck, North Dakota for the night. This trip has been a brutal endurance race across the country in our quest to reach our new home in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we should be arriving there on the evening of August 3rd. Even though we have covered over 1100 miles in two days we have still managed to see some beautiful sights and the usual strange things you tend to see on a long road trip.
I’d like to go into more detail but that will have to wait until we get to Minneapolis. It is 12:27am and we hit the road for our final leg of the journey in less than seven hours.

We are still on the road but should be in Minnesota within a day and then on to Minneapolis. So far, so good. We are deep into the bad lands but it is still gorgeous. I am anxious to get to our final destination but I am still enjoying that temporary feeling of complete freedom that a long road trip across the country can bring to you. As long as we continue to hit rest areas at the proper moment then all will remain good.

Day 239: Much Ado About Hotels
August 7, 2010 by Mister ViddyWow, we have been staying in the hotel for only four days but it seems like a lifetime. It sucks. There is only so much television you can watch. And even though we have ventured out into the local area it is still kind of draining being stuck living in a hotel. Luckily we will be moving into the new house early next week.
